Indies ‘strong’

AUCKLAND, Today: Three independent shops are reporting that business is strong – and getting stronger – as the north of NZ emerges from Level 3 lockdown.

NSPR MD Niki Schuck said it was business as usual for the team who have operated a home-based model since its inception in 2008.

“Being home-based has been an added bonus during lockdowns, and the surprise guest appearances from ‘little people’ in our virtual meetings has been a welcomed addition.”

“The overlap between PR and paid, earned, shared, and owned media is more apparent than ever.”

Pitchblack’s Josh Moore said: We’ve never been busier, with huge amounts of production on. The trick is being nimble enough to navigate this busy time with masks on and covid rules in check.

And Authority PR’s Golnaz Bassam-Tabar said: Business as usual for us. Authority PR made a seamless transition from office and in-person activity to online and zoom based meetings in April and kept everything ticking over that way and continue to support our clients in doing the same.

“We are lucky to operate in an industry that recognised the decisive shift towards digital marketing a while go and prepared as such.

“The overlap between PR and paid, earned, shared, and owned media is more apparent than ever and we’ve made sure to keep up, meaning for us, everything naturally moved online too.
