The closure of Bauer and several of its well-loved titles has been disappointing for many, however one of the titles saved by local ownership and returning better than ever is 2020 Voyager Magazine of the year, Metro.
The Auckland-focused lifestyle mag will be returning to shelves and mailboxes in November following a complete re-vamp in design. Larger and more aesthetically pleasing issues will be printed quarterly and will feature the best (and sometimes worst) of the city.
Returning to the team are Henry Oliver and Jean Teng as editor and food editor, while the art direction role will be led by Kelvin Soh.
Online, Metro will be providing Aucklanders with several digital platforms that hold insider knowledge to the city.
The title is asking Kiwis who want a thriving, independent and local media eco-system, to get behind the rebirth of the magazine in support.
