Claudelands campaign

HAMILTON, Tuesday: Claudelands Arena, the leading events centre in the Waikato, will be known as Globox Arena from September this year.

This is the outcome of a deal with the Hamilton City Council, which owns the 6000-seat venue, and Globox – a well-respected local business.

The agreement means media company Globox hold the naming rights to Claudelands Arena for at least five years, with the option to extend the arrangement for another five years in 2026.

“We are founded in the mighty Waikato with eight quality digital sites in Hamilton and the wider Waikato region.”

Councillor Ryan Hamilton said the commercial partnership aligns with council’s vision of shaping a fun city with lots to do.

“It’s fantastic news for Hamilton Kirikiriroa.”

Globox founder Allan Nicholson said the partnership is an opportunity for Globox to show its continued support for Hamilton.

“We are founded in the mighty Waikato with eight quality digital sites in Hamilton and the wider Waikato region. We have big plans for national growth and a mission to deliver brands, business owners and media agencies quality assets, significant reach and most importantly better value to what we believe is an overly expensive media.
