NZ Marketing magazine has announced the Finalists for the 2021 TVNZ-NZ Marketing Awards after the first round of judging has concluded.
The response from the April is said to have resulted in 220 entries being submitted across the 31 Award categories, split into three divisions: Sector Awards, Excellence Awards and Individual Awards.
This year’s Finalists represent 70+ brands, with 2degrees, ASB, Burger King, NZME, Toyota, Woolworths NZ, DB Breweries, Lion, Electric Kiwi, Mitre 10 and J.H Whittaker’s & Son’s amongst those receiving two or more nods from the judges. The complete list of Finalists can be found here.
“The fact that this year’s Finalists represent a large and diverse cross-section of companies and brands reflects the exceptional level of marketing and marketing practitioners that exists in New Zealand,” says David Nothling-Demmer, Editor of NZ Marketing.
This year the panel of Judges was again led by Michael Friedberg, Director/vCMO at MJF Consulting.
“I always love the opportunity to get up close and personal with those New Zealand organisations who have looked to and are seeing marketers make a significant impact across the business.
2020 was tough for many industries but what we can see in the list of finalists are entries that demonstrate marketing not only has a seat at the top table but is key to navigating significant challenges, putting in place insight-driven strategy and coming out the other side delivering outstanding business results,” says Friedberg.
The second round of judging takes place later this month, with Awards Night happening on Thursday, September 2 at Cordis, Auckland.
