NZ animation company Toybox has joined forces with 13CO for representation in Australia.
The Auckland-based animation company describe themselves as creators without borders, bringing characters, worlds and stories to life.
“Animation is the storytelling medium that cuts across cultural, gender and socio-economic boundaries. Whether factual, dramatic or comedy, bringing animated characters, worlds and stories to life is what Toybox does best. Our work can be in your face or invisible and is always made with the audience in mind,” says Nanette Miles Toybox Executive Producer.
Toybox Animation have produced content for feature films, television, interactive and on-line projects including television commercials, data-driven interactive installations and episodic animation series for major international streaming services.
13CO Executive Producer Roy De Giorgio says that there was great synergy for a partnership with Toybox.
“Creative is at the heart of everything we do. We’ve found a like minded partner in Toybox Animation that helps 13CO extend our offering beyond live action and traditional media, providing more options to our clients in these ever changing times,” he says.
An example of Toybox’s recent work is the immersive experience at Auckland Museum that features eight projectors, a 360 screen and interactive table, with as narrative told through a mix of 2D and 3D animation, archive footage, photography and an incredible soundscape. A project that tells a small part of Tāmaki Makarau’s rich and unique story.
