AUCKLAND, Today: The NZ Designers Institute Best Awards have released their finalists, and Special is leading the pack by a decent margin – Special has 23 finalists across 13 categories, ranging from large brand identity through to short form film and product packaging.
The Best Design Awards is an annual showcase of excellence in graphic, spatial, product, digital and motion design.
Special’s work was recognised for clients including global apple brand Rockit, up-cycled food company Citizen, Every Kiwi Vote Counts, Partners Life, Tourism NZ and Education NZ.

The 23 finalist categories that Special is included in are: large brand identity, small brand identity, design communication, business communication, long form film, short form film, digital campaign, colour awards, illustration and photography craft, packaging, self promotion, public good and Toitanga.
The ceremony
The Best Design Awards 2021 winners will be announced at the awards ceremony on Friday 8 October at the Aotea Centre.
