Perspectives 2024: Episode Four – The Network View

ThinkTV has commissioned a new video series, ‘Perspectives 2024’, which takes a deep dive into the world of TV and video – what’s happening locally and globally – now and in the next three to four years.

The series explores a range of perspectives from people in the marketing, production, media agencies, TV network, creative and research industries.

The fourth episode, The Network View (filmed prior to the nationwide lockdown) features CEOs Kevin Kenrick, TVNZ; Glen Kyne, Discovery ANZ; and Sophie Moloney, Sky.

The three talk about competition for eyeballs and how you measure the eyeballs in an increasingly digital world. Ultimately the trio agree content is king – particularly local content – and providing New Zealand stories is a win for viewers and advertisers who can integrate into this content. Kenrick, Kyne and Moloney make a number of suggestions for how agencies and marketers can do this successfully and in meaningful ways.

They also chat about what is high on their to-do list right now, what excites them about the future and what they perceive to be the most important considerations for local audiences and advertisers.
