MediaWorks’ new talk station Today FM will launch on Monday 21 March.
MediaWorks Director of News & Talk Dallas Gurney says, “Today FM has some exceptional hosts, outstanding producers, an incredible newsroom and many people working behind the scenes preparing for its launch. We can’t wait to get on-air and offer Aotearoa something fresh and new – bring on 21 March.”
Dominic Bowden is also joining Today FM next month. The well known TV host turned wellness advocate has recently returned to New Zealand from Los Angeles. His show each Saturday called WellBeings, will be a radio version of his successful podcast.
He says: “WellBeings is all about the science of feeling good – something I’m really passionate about, and I can’t wait to get on-air with the Today FM team to share my experiences, speak to experts from around the world, local legends and regular Kiwis to really just help people feel good and ultimately lead healthier and happier lives.”

5am-6:30am First Light with Rachel Smalley
6:30-9am Tova w/Tova O’Brien, Mark Dye and newsreader Carly Flynn
9am-midday Duncan Garner Today
12pm-4pm Leah & Mark w/Leah Panapa and Mark Richardson
4pm-7pm Lloyd Burr Live w/Wilhelmina Shrimpton
8pm-midnight Polly w/Polly Gillespie
On Friday night on Today FM, Nickson Clark will host Friday Night Nickson and at the weekend, there’ll be a mix of news, sport, lifestyle and entertainment. It includes a business and entrepreneurial focussed show with Robett Hollis broadcasting live from San Francisco on Saturday 12pm-2pm and Dave Letele bringing his motivational style to the radio for the first time with a show from 12-2pm every Sunday.
Today FM is launching on FM frequencies throughout New Zealand, including 90.2 FM in Auckland.
