SINGAPORE, Thursday: New Zealand has won eight Gold Awards and four Spikes at the Spikes Asia Awards. Tribal Aotearoa won three Golds, DDB Aotearoa scored two Golds, and one apiece went to Saatchi & Saatchi, Special and TBWA\.
Colenso BBDO won a Creative Data Spike. And FCB scored an Integrated Spike. The Gold winners will now compete to take the Grand Prix. DDB took out Agency of the Year.
Tribal’s Golds came for Samsung iTest in Brand Experience & Activation and Direct. Special’s was a Gold in Media for Motor Neurone Disease David’s Unusables (plus two Creative Effectiveness Spikes for Meddle and Tourism NZ Good Morning World).
DDB’s golden pair came in the Film category for NZ Lotteries On Ice and Entertainment for Steinlager The Alt Blacks.

Saatchi ‘s Gold was for Global Women A Career Limiting Film (in Film) and TBWA’s were for Melanoma Typeface (in Type).
Colenso BBDO won a Creative Data Spike for Mars Myhooman and FCB’s Integrated Spike was for Fire & Emergency NZ Firefighters Don’t Like Fire Movies.
Australia leads the overall rankings with 78 awards in total. India are ranking second with 56, followed by New Zealand with 37.
The Grands Prix and Special Award winners will be revealed on Thursday 3 March, followed by Spikes Unwrapped and the Spikes Creativity Report on Thursday 24 March.
