Effie 2022 open for entry

AUCKLAND, Wednesday: The Comms Council has announced that entries are now open for the 2022 Aotearoa Effie Awards (held in association with TVNZ).

The Effie Awards have been running for 20 years. 

New categories
“This year we want to continue to elevate the people behind the Effie-winning work and celebrate our nation’s most effective marketers with a new category, Effective Marketer of the Year,” said Comms Council ceo Simon Lendrum’

This year’s convenor, Lisa Divett, said: “There are a few new things this year including introducing two exciting new categories, Customer Experience and Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion.

“The inclusion of these two categories feels like an important reflection of today’s marketing landscape and in regard to DE&I an acknowledgement of the work which uses our skills as marketers to better understand, reflect and continue to shape an Aotearoa we can be proud to bring our tamariki up in.”

After two years of virtual Effies, the awards show is set to be in person at Shed 10 on Thursday 20 October.

Entry details are now available online and will close on Tuesday 9 August.

  • Entries close: Tuesday 9 August
  • Late entry deadline (fees apply): Thursday 11 August
  • Finalists Announced: Wednesday 7 September
  • Tickets on sale: Wednesday 7 September
  • Executive Judging: Tuesday 11 October
  • Effie Awards Show: Thursday 20 October

The 2022 Aotearoa Effie Awards in association with TVNZ are sponsored by commercial partner oOh!media, along with NZME, Nielsen, The Radio Bureau, Google, Cartology, Neuro-Insights, NZStory and Meta.
