The opportunity – Te tūranga

We are looking for someone to join us as the Head of Re: You will guide our team through vision, strategy and innovation to cement Re as a trusted world leader in the digital space. Young audiences are everything to us. You will bring fresh ideas, energy and leadership to ensure we create digital content that is cutting-edge, world class and exceptional for young audiences.

As the Head of Re: you will report to the General-Manager, Digital News and Content Development.  Collaboration within NCA Digital and across the newsroom is central to this role as well as building strong relationships across TVNZ.  You will actively champion TVNZ’s purpose, values and Rautaki Māori (Māori Strategy) in everything you do.

To be successful in this role, you will

  • Have a wealth of experience in content creation in the digital space
  • Have a proven track record creating exceptional digital content that works for our target audiences
  • Understand how to attract and retain audiences
  • Be an expert in data analytics and how to apply those insights to strategy
  • Be committed to the highest standards of journalistic accuracy and ethics
  • Have experience in leadership, people management and getting the best out of a diverse team
  • Have a proven track record nurturing a healthy team environment
  • Be a strategic thinker who can easily communicate fresh and unexpected ideas
