FCB Aotearoa has been recognised at the recent Designers Institute of New Zealand Best Awards, winning two pins for its work on the Four Square brand.
A coveted gold pin for the Large Brand Identity category went to Four Square, and a silver pin for Design Craft was awarded to Four Square’s FS Fresh, a key element to the new identity.
“Getting a Best Awards Gold for the Four Square Brand Identity is a testament to a team committed to delivering a good-looking, hard-working design,” says Diane Clark, Four Square Head of Marketing.
“Bold, fun and youthful the design system is versatile, distinctive and fit for purpose to be used across all channels from retail store through to marketing and internal comms. I am so in love with every part of the design and couldn’t be prouder to see the FCB team recognised for exceptional work.”
FCB Aotearoa Design Lead, Josh O’Neill, says to be one of the Brand Identity winners of the Best Awards is an “incredible” result for FCB.
“A big congratulations to all of the winners on the night, Aotearoa and Australia are known for some of the best design output in the world, and to have Four Square highlighted amongst some beautiful and effective work is tremendously rewarding. Our work on the brand typography is something we are very proud of, and we were delighted to have that recognised also.
“We’re glad that the joy inherent in the work connected with the judges, just as it does with our audience, and we look forward to continuing working with the brand, as Four Square pushes into a new era. A big thank you to Di and the rest of the Four Square team for believing in this work. We’re lucky to be able to do it with you.”
FCB Chief Creative Officer, Leisa Wall, says it was a privilege to work on an iconic brand like Four Square. “Then to get recognition from the industry for this work is just the icing on the cake. That cake of course made with ingredients from Four Square”.
