First General Manager NZ appointed for UnLtd

UnLtd, the social purpose organisation for the media, marketing and creative industry, has appointed Brendan Muller as its first ever General Manager New Zealand.

Previously holding senior roles as Sales Director NZ for Quantcast and Country Manager NZ for Vevo and Exponential, a key part of Muller’s new role is to drive partnerships that generate mutual value for the corporate partners across the industry and charity partners.

UnLtd has also announced three New Zealand charities as their launch partners – Voices of HopeThe Kindness Collective and Springboard.

UnLtd’s charity partners are carefully selected and vetted to find grassroots organisations that are running effective programs, making a positive impact for young people at risk, and creating long-lasting, generational change.

Voices of Hope works to improve youth mental health by providing hope through the voices of those with lived experience. The Kindness Collective spreads kindness by connecting children and families with the things they need, from everyday essentials to moments of joy. Springboard helps some of the most vulnerable young people and families in Puhoi to Te Hana by providing a complete wrap-around support network for young people to live a healthy independent life, regardless of their background, race, religion, or home life.

Muller says he is excited to be joining UnLtd and bringing the New Zealand advertising industry together to make a difference for young people at risk through these charity partners.

“Us Kiwis are a generous bunch, the second most generous nation in the world, but we also have the highest per capita number of charities in the world, so it can be hard to know how and who to help. That’s where UnLtd comes in – we make it easier to make a difference and give our industry the power to help by using their skills, networks, and resources for good.”

Chris Freel, CEO of UnLtd says they are “delighted” to have someone of Muller’s calibre joining the team to launch the New Zealand operation.

“Brendan has plenty of experience of launching businesses in Aotearoa and he brings a wealth of local knowledge, connections and a passion for making a difference for young people at risk.

“We have been overwhelmed by the positive sentiment and support from the New Zealand industry community. There is so much talent and passion to make a difference in New Zealand and we can’t wait to channel that to create real, positive changes for some of the most vulnerable young people in the country. Please reach out to Brendan if you would like to know how you or your organisation can get involved.”
