Spark’s S.N.T.A. demonstrates the potential of technology

AUCKLAND, Today: Last year, Spark and Colenso BBDO launched S.N.T.A. to take the guesswork out of gift buying for all sorts of niche New Zealanders. This year he’s back, tackling the hard-to-buy-for person that exists in every family.

The technology of S.N.T.A. uses thousands of data points to match tricky people with a selection of tech gifts from Spark’s curated range.

James Henson, brand partner at Spark, says: “This year, without the restrictions of lockdown, we wanted to make S.N.T.A. bigger and better. So now with more smarts and more data, S.N.T.A. is able to truly help figure out the right tech gift to get those tricky people in our lives.”

Kimberley Ragan, Colenso BBDO group creative director, says: “We all have that hard to buy for mother, sibling or teenager in our family who are impossible to get right at Christmas time.

“S.N.T.A. is available in store and online, supported by a full campaign that includes television, OLV, OOH, digital and social media.”

“But digital technologies have the potential to minimise the stress of shopping for our loved ones. Spark’s S.N.T.A has the perfect combination of technology and Christmas magic to give people an entertaining gift-buying experience.”

Colenso CCO Si Vicars said “S.N.T.A is a fun demonstration of the new brand positioning of Hello Tomorrow Spark’s commitment to driving progress in New Zealand.

“It’s great to see it can stretch from guiding the big decisions the business makes, right through to ideas like Beyond Binary Code and S.N.T.A.”

S.N.T.A. is available both in store and online, and is supported by a full campaign that includes television, OLV, OOH, digital and social media.
