This category celebrates sites reflecting a fresh perspective in thought and action strong enough to start a revolution, change a behaviour pattern, advance old thinking lodged in bad habits, or just stand out as exceptionally peculiar.
The Webby Awards are known as the highest honour of the internet, recognising the absolute top excellence of the web.
“We’re absolutely over the moon to have won not one, but two Webby Awards. It’s an incredible honour, and a testament to our team’s creativity and dedication to pushing boundaries,” Not Another
Co-founder Mark Townshend adds: “To win in the ‘Weird’ category is a particular delight for us. It reflects our commitment to innovative, offbeat, and distinctive design that not only stands out but can also disrupt behaviour patterns and advance thinking.”
The agency’s recent double Webby win comes after Porn Week won the prestigious Site of the Day award on Saturday 21st of January at Awwwards.com.
“This was a tough campaign to nail with a sensitive subject matter and a potentially vulnerable target audience of teenagers, but we’re so delighted with how we worked with Netsafe to create something exceptional,” Townshend says.
“The accolades are awesome but the most satisfying part of this project remains the fact that the website has been visited and used by thousands of New Zealand teenagers. The feedback from them has been exceptional; this is a real resource that’s helping them navigate porn.”
In famous Webby style, Townshend and Taylor had to submit a five word acceptance speech. They used the opportunity to spread the campaign message: “Porn. School up about it.”
