FCB NZ nabs AWARD 2023 Creative Team of the Year

Alan Jones and Angelo An, of FCB New Zealand, took out the title of Creative Team of the Year during the 44th AWARD Awards ceremony, which took place in Sydney last night.

This creative duo has been the driving force behind a series of acclaimed campaigns, including Waka Kotahi’s Toll Booth and Future News for the Road to Zero initiative. They also orchestrated the impactful How To Do Nothing campaign for The Lowdown and spearheaded the Through My Eyes anti-speeding campaign for Waka Kotahi.

FCB Co-CCO’s, Leisa Wall and Peter Vegas, say: “It’s no mean feat to get one great piece of work out in the world these days, but to have success with multiple awarding winning campaigns in the short span of 12 months is a true achievement. We’re thrilled for Alan and Angelo as they deserve all the prizes now after all the mahi they have put in. Don’t bother calling them about a job, they’re too busy working on their next great campaign.”

The Creative Team of the Year award recognises the top creative talent in the Asia-Pacific region and honors those who’ve achieved either Bronze, Silver or Gold across multiple campaigns. Jones and An were the only creative team from New Zealand to be considered for the award.

FCB Aotearoa also won three Bronze awards for Waka Kotahi’s ‘Toll Booth’, three Silvers for Te Hiringa Hauora’s ‘How to Do Nothing’, a Silver for Waka Kotahi’s ‘Through My Eyes’ and a Bronze for ‘Survive the Drive’ with NZ Police.
