TVNZ has announced significant changes to its executive team today with the leadership team being cut from ten to seven roles.
In a statement released by TVNZ, this restructuring is “to better align the business with its strategic priorities and deliver a sustainable digital-first business”.
The new team will be made up of a Chief Revenue Officer (commercial and marketing), Chief Digital Officer (technology and transformation) and Chief Operating Officer (legal, people and operations) will be taken up by Jodi O’Donnell, Kym Niblock and Brent McAnulty respectively who are current Executive members.
McAnulty will continue as Interim CEO while TVNZ’s Board looks for a new appointment.
Leadership of TVNZ’s programming will stay the same with Phil O’Sullivan Executive Editor of News & Current Affairs and Nevak Rogers Acting Chief Content Officer. Tracey Richardson has been appointed Chief Financial Officer in a permanent capacity.
Current Chief People Officer, Nicola Simpson and Marketing Director, Jonathan Symons will leave the organisation.
“TVNZ is grateful for the immense contribution Nicola and Jonathan have made to the business,” the statement read.
Chief Transformation Officer, Cate Calver, will take up the role of CEO of Great Southern Television in the New Year.
