DDB most awarded NZ agency at Spikes

DDB Group Aotearoa cleaned up at this year’s Spikes Festival Of Creativity, walking away with two Grand Prix awards, one Glass Spike, five Silvers and one Bronze – making DDB the most awarded New Zealand agency at the Spikes for the fourth year in a row.

Held at Swissôtel The Stamford in Singapore, the Spikes Asia Awards serve as the definitive benchmark for not only creative excellence, but also for marketing strategy and effectiveness in Asia-Pacific.

The Group’s big winner of the night was Correct the Internet, winning Grand Prix in both the PR and Social and Influencer categories.

DDB was also awarded the highly coveted Glass Spike for ‘ideas that helped change the world’.

In addition, the agency’s work for VW GreenPrint received two Silvers and McDonald’s also picked up a Silver for Fax for Kiwiburger.

On the Group’s wins, Gary Steele, DDB Chief Creative Officer, says it was a very good night of recognition with great work being celebrated.

“These wins are a huge testament to everyone in the DDB building who helped make this work happen, particularly the team who tirelessly worked on Correct the Internet and the dedication they put into making this movement a success,” Steele says.

“I also want to thank the ongoing support from our clients who continue to believe in the power of creativity at DDB.”

Spikes Asia is the region’s oldest and most prestigious award for creative advertising.
