RealNZ partners with The Beards to welcome winter

With Winter just around the corner, RealNZ (Cardrona Alpine Resort and Treble Cone) have launched their Winter 2024 Campaign, “With the mountains we move”.

Ideation and production of the campaign came from The Beards, a creative production company based out of Wānaka. The campaign reminds the outdoor enthusiasts that the mountains are alive. A day at Cardrona or Treble Cone is about spending a day on the move and in tune with a living and breathing thing.

RealNZ GM of Marketing, Sarah Bartholomew, says:  Our resorts welcome snow enthusiasts at all levels, from first timers on skis, to World Class athletes and everything in between. This campaign reinforces that it’s about the experience. That a day spent in the mountains is about the thrill of being alive. It’s about a connection to a very special place.”

The campaign is phased in two parts. Earlier this month, a teaser launched as a pre-season build. The second phase, celebrates the arrival of Winter and the movement the mountain brings.

Says Toby Crawford, Executive Producer and Co-Founder of The Beards: “In so many places around the world, there is dread about Winter creeping in, but in Wānaka, and at the Beards, the excitement builds.

“This campaign was a great opportunity for us to work on an idea which communicates the feeling of ‘moving with the mountains’ –  a feeling we’re lucky to know well with our home base being in the mountain town of Wānaka.

“The project was not without the usual complexities that come with filming on the mountains in Winter, but overcoming those challenges just adds to the thrill and makes the end result all the more satisfying!

The campaign will be rolled out across digital platforms in New Zealand and Australia, along with out of home and street posters in New Zealand.
