Special PR wins Moët Hennessy account showcasing rapid growth

AUCKLAND, Today: Moët Hennessy has chosen Special PR to join its top-tier communications agencies in New Zealand after a competitive selection process.

Special PR will manage communications for Moët Hennessy’s luxury brands, including Cloudy Bay, Whispering Angel, Veuve Clicquot, and Glenmorangie.

Julien Marteau, Marketing and Consumer Engagement Director for Moët Hennessy Australia and New Zealand, said, “We were very impressed with the creativity and strategic rigour displayed by Special during the entirety of the pitching process, as well as their ability to deliver through-the-line thinking.”

Kelly Grindle, Managing Director of Special PR, is thrilled about the partnership. “Moët Hennessy has such a legendary portfolio of luxury brands. It’s a dream account for the Special PR team, and we are beyond thrilled to be embarking on this partnership with them.”

Tony Bradbourne, CEO/CCO and Founder of Special New Zealand, shared his excitement, “The Special PR team has gone from strength to strength, quickly establishing themselves as one of the region’s leading agencies.

“This account will combine their PR-led work with support from our world-class creative and strategy teams – it is a model that is proving wildly successful for several of our clients,” Tony explained.

Special PR will handle media relations, influencer marketing, content creation, events and activations, and trade partnerships for Moët Hennessy New Zealand. They’ll also get design, art direction, and communications support from the wider Special New Zealand team.

Moët Hennessy, part of LVMH, was formed in 1971 from the merger of Moët & Chandon and Hennessy. The company includes 26 wine and spirits brands, many of which have been around for centuries, like Veuve Clicquot, Dom Pérignon, and Cloudy Bay.

This win highlights the rapid growth of Special PR. They now have over 15 practitioners in Sydney and Auckland, achieving this in under three years. Their work with clients like Jaguar Land Rover, DB Breweries, and Tourism New Zealand keeps them at the industry’s forefront.

Special PR was named agency of the year by Campaign Asia and the Public Relations Institute of New Zealand.

The partnership between Special and Moët Hennessy will blend their expertise and creativity to elevate the brand’s communication strategies, starting now.
