Who will take out the top title in Auckland Adland?

Auckland Adland is preparing for battle. Next month, over 100 people from advertising agencies across the region will take to the court to see who reigns supreme in this year’s UnLtd: Dodgeball tournament.

On 13 June, industry teams will take part in the tournament out at Action Sports Stadium to raise funds for UnLtd, a charity helping young people at risk.

It is the second year this tournament has been run, and the event is kindly sponsored by Lumo, and supported by The Communications Council, IAB NZ and PrettyGood. Participating teams include Cartology, Dentsu Aotearoa, FCB, GroupM New Zealand, JCDecaux, Lumo Digital Outdoor, MBM, MediaWorks, oOh!media, PHD Media, Pitchblack Partners, Saatchi & Saatchi, Spark Foundry, Together and Val Morgan Group.

Last year, MBM narrowly took home the trophy, beating Pitchblack Partners in the final.

Stacey Gattsche, GM of Sales at Lumo said the team is thrilled to be supporting the dodgeball competition again and to be bringing the industry together for a great cause.

“It’s such a fun way to network with the rest of the industry over some healthy competition and exercise, whilst also raising funds for the important work UnLtd and their charity partners do for young Kiwis at risk.”

The competition is also heating up for the coveted ‘Best Dressed’ title with teams getting creative with their outfits.

Pitchblack Partners are adding to the fundraising efforts by selling sponsorship on their team jerseys to their clients with Burger King, Oceania, Popeyes, Griffins, Gull and Sanitarium already sponsoring their jerseys. Last year, the sponsorship resulted in an additional $ 5,000 donation to UnLtd.

Josh Moore, Principal Partner at Pitchblack Partners said: “UnLtd events are some of the best in the industry, sports, a few drinks and fundraising for a genuinely important cause. Selling sponsorship in our team jerseys is an easy way for us to help raise funds and we encourage other agencies to do the same – may the most highly sponsored team win!”
