SYDNEY, Today: Rupert Price has been named the new Chief Strategy Officer at DDB Sydney, as announced by CEO Sheryl Marjoram.
With 25 years of experience in agencies across London and New Zealand, Price spent the last 12 years as DDB Group Aotearoa’s Chief Strategy Officer. Now, he’s bringing his expertise to Sydney.
During his time at DDB Group Aotearoa, Price played a key role in the agency’s success, earning numerous creative awards, including Cannes Gold Lions and a D&AD Black Pencil. In 2024, the agency won seven awards for clients like Samsung and Volkswagen at the Cannes Festival.
Price has also worked with Interbrand as Director of Strategy, Head of Planning at Ogilvy NZ and Ogilvy London, and Board Planning Director at Saatchi & Saatchi London.

As DDB Sydney’s new Chief Strategy Officer, Price will lead the planning department, focusing on effectiveness through emotionally charged creativity for clients like Westpac, Volkswagen Group, and McDonald’s.

Price commented, “It was a tough decision to leave the agency I’ve called home for the last 12 years but the opportunity to work with the Sydney team to continue their trajectory was too good to pass up.”
Price will start his transition immediately, splitting his time between Sydney and New Zealand until the end of August. He will permanently take on the Sydney role from September 1st.
