New Zealand’s only dedicated sports radio and audio platform is evolving, with SENZ rebranding to Sport Nation from November 19.
The rebrand marks a new chapter for the station, reflecting its commitment to being the Kiwi voice of sport – by Kiwis, for Kiwis.
Sport Nation will continue to deliver the same comprehensive sports coverage, offering fans access to all the sports Kiwis love, 24/7, from local legends to international events, as well as bringing the latest and greatest from the racing world.
“As New Zealand’s only dedicated sports radio platform, we’ve always been about serving the passions of Kiwi sports fans. The name ‘Sport Nation’ better captures who we are – a nation of sports lovers who live and breathe the game,” says Christopher Haigh, Chief Media Officer of Entain Australia and New Zealand, the operators of Sport Nation.
The station continues to have a strong roster of sports analysts and broadcasters, including All Blacks great Izzy Dagg and leading broadcaster Scotty Stevenson combining every weekday morning to ensure Kiwi sports fans get in-depth, expert analysis of the games they care about most.
The timing of the rebrand aligns with the highlight of the Kiwi summer, the Blackcaps vs England Test cricket series, starting on November 28 at Hagley Oval in Christchurch. Sport Nation will bring exclusive, live coverage of the series, reinforcing its place as New Zealand’s go-to destination for sports.
“We’ve kept our DNA intact,” says Haigh. “Sport Nation will remain the home of quality sports talk and live action, but now with a name that truly resonates with our audience and the Kiwi sports community.”
Sport Nation’s rebrand will bring a refreshed look and feel, but listeners can expect the same unrivalled dedication to all things sport – from rugby, league and cricket to football, netball, and beyond – and racing.
Sports and racing fans will also be kept up to date with the latest market moves through Sports Nation’s valued relationship with New Zealand’s two wagering brands, TAB and betcha.
