Hustle & Bustle acquired by Waitapu Group

Leading creative and PR consultancy firm Hustle & Bustle has been acquired by Waitapu Group, New Zealand’s independently owned collective of creative and media companies.

Joining Waitapu Group’s line up of agencies – including advertising and media company Stanley St, social media specialists Culture, production house Film Three Sixty, data and analytics experts Magnetic, and School Road Publishing – Hustle & Bustle will round out the group’s services to offer an unrivaled integrated offering to its clients.

Managing Director Gemma Ross believes this is an exciting step for Hustle & Bustle, an agency she co-founded 11 years ago and has cultivated its enduring success.

“This acquisition opens up new horizons for our team and clients alike. The partnership allows us to draw on the extensive resources available within the group, creating holistic brand and communication solutions that meet the evolving needs of our clients. We’re excited to leverage our combined capability to drive even greater success,” says Ross.

Waitapu Group CEO Elizabeth Beatty believes the addition of a PR agency into the collective further embeds its position as an industry leading cohort of creatives, disruptors and storytellers.

“By adding a leading PR consultancy of Hustle & Bustle’s calibre to the Group, we expand our ability to build brands which capture the hearts and minds of Kiwis by harnessing the power of earned media and brand experience,” says Elizabeth Beatty, CEO of Waitapu Group.

“Gemma and her team have a great reputation in the industry and I am confident that Hustle & Bustle will not only seamlessly bolster our group capabilities, they will continue to lead the way in innovative PR strategies, driving impactful innovation that resonates with audiences and elevates clients to new heights of success.”

For over a decade, Hustle & Bustle has delivered attention grabbing PR and activation campaigns for global names such as Veuve Clicquot, Moët & Chandon, Dom Pérignon, Bulgari and Bumble, alongside renowned local brands such as NZL SailGP, Maggie Marilyn, ECC, Northbrook, Fix & Fogg, Westfield New Zealand and Viaduct Harbour and individuals such as Peter Burling, Blair Tuke, Josh Emett and Dan Carter establishing a strong reputation for excellence in the industry.

As Hustle & Bustle integrates into Waitapu Group, clients can expect a broader range of creative communication and brand building solutions designed to elevate their presence in an increasingly competitive market.
