Gear up for motorsport action as Stuff, Toyota, and NextGen bring live broadcast coverage to Kiwis

AUCKLAND, Today: Stuff Group is teaming up with TOYOTA GAZOO Racing, Toyota New Zealand, and the NextGen New Zealand Championship to deliver free, multichannel coverage of New Zealand’s premier motorsport championship starting 22 November.

The SpeedHub on Stuff.co.nz will feature live racing, on-demand replays, highlights, interviews, and profiles of key personalities. Highlights will also air on Warner Bros. Discovery’s CRC Motorsport programme on Three and ThreeNow.

“The SpeedHub on Stuff will be a live, free and multichannel motorsport experience that Kiwis can’t get anywhere else,” said Stuff Digital Managing Director Nadia Tolich.

“No matter when, where or on what device people want to watch, they’ll get rich and comprehensive coverage of the action both on and off the track.”

The partnership builds on Stuff’s success with the America’s Cup, which delivered 12.4 million video views on Stuff.co.nz. Stuff Director of Agency Markets Jaana Collins said SpeedHub offers brands an unrivalled chance to reach 1.4 million Kiwi motorsport fans.

“Unlike traditional linear sport broadcasting, racing on Stuff won’t be ‘one and done.’ With on-demand replays, highlights, and multimedia content, our partners can connect with Kiwis in new ways,” Collins said.

NextGen NZ Championship CEO Josie Spillane said the partnership is key to making motorsport more accessible. “Our vision for NextGen is to be sustainable, innovative and surprising. Motorsport captivates through great racing and storytelling.”

Andrew Davis, Toyota NZ Vice President, emphasised the importance of accessibility, “We brought the America’s Cup to more New Zealanders through our Stuff experience hub, and now we’re doing the same for motorsport.

“Toyota NZ wants to make it easier for Kiwis to support fellow Kiwis perform on the world stage—this is one way we can do that.”

Stuff Motoring Editor Matthew Hansen will lead SpeedHub coverage. “NextGen could be where the next Liam Lawson gets their start, so it’s awesome to be leading Stuff’s coverage,” Hansen said. “I’ll be breaking down the sport for first-time viewers and sharing up-to-the-minute news and insights for the diehards. I can’t wait to see those starting lights go green!”

The NextGen NZ Championship kicks off on 22 November, running through January and February before the Dayle ITM Grand Finale in March 2025.
