AUCKLAND, Today: Chemistry has promoted Sarah Chernishov and Matt Watts to joint Executive Creative Directors. The award-winning pair have been instrumental in boosting the agency’s creative output and securing significant new business.
Over the past two years, they’ve spearheaded successful campaigns like Aged Care Association’s Domino Effect and MTF’s new branding We See You because we are you. They also led the Station of Light campaign for Hato Hone St John, marking the charity’s most fruitful Annual Appeal to date.
Chernishov and Watts are now tasked with shaping Chemistry’s future creative direction, emphasising bold ideas, integrating brand and performance marketing, and enhancing the agency’s social influence.
“We couldn’t be more excited to take the creative reins. While the agency has achieved so much over the last 12 years, it also feels like we’re just getting started.” – Sarah Chernishov & Matt Watt
Joseph Silk remarked, “It’s an exciting passing of the baton. Our former ECD and founder, Susan Young, is moving to Australia but will continue to contribute remotely as a senior creative and writer.”
Chernishov and Watts stated, “We couldn’t be more excited to take the creative reins. While the agency has achieved so much over the last 12 years, it also feels like we’re just getting started.

“I’m excited about the future. The whole agency has been inspired by Matt and Sarah for so long, it’s very satisfying to see our homegrown talent take up the leadership reins. I cannot wait to see what they’ll do this year.” – Joseph Silk
