AUCKLAND, Today: Omnicom Media Group (OMG) has elevated Angela Spain to Managing Director, overseeing its content divisions in New Zealand—FUSE, DRUM, and Hearts & Science’s content team. She reports to Nikki Grafton, CEO, OMG New Zealand.
Grafton says, “Angela brings a wealth of experience and a fresh perspective to our content offering in New Zealand. A dynamic leader with a hunger to innovate, Angela’s leadership and expertise will be instrumental in scaling OMG’s Agency as a Platform model, connecting content, media and commerce to create transformative experiences for our clients and our business.”
With over 20 years of experience in marketing communications, PR, stakeholder engagement, and crisis management, Spain brings deep industry expertise. In 2020, she founded specialist PR consultancy Archer, advising clients across various sectors.
Her promotion follows Gina McKinnon’s full transition into the role of CEO, Content for OMG APAC. McKinnon now reports to Tony Harradine, CEO, OMG Asia Pacific.

McKinnon and her APAC teams will tap into OMG’s global scale and creator partnerships, leveraging expertise from the UK and US sports and gaming agencies to enhance content strategies.
“We are developing centres of excellence across APAC and leveraging these hubs to further expand our offerings to clients, partnering with them to drive business growth. Having a seasoned leader like Angela at the helm of New Zealand will ensure the teams are creating distinct stories to create memorable and valuable experiences,“ McKinnon said.
McKinnon, with OMG for over a decade, was previously CEO, Content in New Zealand and Managing Director of FUSE New Zealand. She has over 20 years’ experience in content, communication, PR, and sports marketing.
