Strategic marketing and creative agency Mint (formerly MintHC) has appointed Bede Fahey as head of digital. Fahey joins from OMD New Zealand, where he spent five years as digital director leading strategy and performance for major clients.
He brings more than 15 years of digital expertise to the role, having built a strong entrepreneurial background in the United States as co-founder of Kiwi Marketing Group LLC. Here, he led the agency’s integrated marketing, web development, and martech solutions for major retail, healthcare, and education clients. Alongside this, he oversaw digital integration and transformation as partner and technical lead for agis Internet Marketing.
Fahey says the opportunity to join a Kiwi-owned agency with strong momentum and future-focused leadership was a major drawcard.
“I’m very much looking forward to joining an independent agency with the capability to move quickly and create value for clients in such a dynamic environment. Our industry is evolving rapidly, particularly with the impact AI is having across marketing and media, and Mint’s approach really stood out to me.”
Vision for the future
He adds that conversations with Mint CEO Shayne Moore regarding the future of AI in marketing reinforced the move.
“Shayne’s vision for the future of digital marketing and AI is compelling. I’m excited to join such a strong team. Mint’s ability to blend cutting-edge technology with a true client-centered focus speaks to who they are and the world-class outcomes they can deliver. I can’t wait to get started.”
Moore says Fahey’s blend of strategic capability and entrepreneurial thinking makes him a natural fit for the agency.
“Bede brings a strong mix of agency leadership, digital expertise, and global experience. His passion for innovation and deep understanding of where digital marketing is heading aligns perfectly with the direction of Mint. We’re very excited to have him joining the team.”
