Former One New Zealand CEO and 2024 YouTube NZ Marketing Awards Hall of Fame inductee Jason Paris has been named as the new boss of Les Mills International.
He takes over from current leader Phillip Mills, who is stepping into more of a founder/director role.
Major milestones
Paris announced he was stepping down from his role at One New Zealand at the start of July, after eight years in the position. During that time, he led the telco’s transformation from Vodafone to One in 2023. Other milestones included the largest capital return to shareholders in New Zealand’s history and launching 5G services.
Previously, Paris was at Spark as CEO of home, mobile and business, and before that, head of digital media, marketing and strategy at TVNZ, where he played a key role in developing digital services, including TVNZ OnDemand (TVNZ+).
He officially takes over from Mills on October 6.
The gym business was founded in 1968 by Mills’ father and former Kiwi Olympian, Les Mills, who passed away earlier this year at age 91.
