Sky NZ lands media partnership with Van Gogh Alive

With art and entertainment at the heart of Sky NZ, it was only natural for the company to work alongside the Van Gogh Alive experience as its official media partner.

Following a sell out show at Wellington’s waterfront this year, the incredible multi-sensory Van Gogh Alive will be returning to New Zealand in 2021. Thanks to Grande Experiences, AKA Australia and Live Nation, for a limited time only, audiences will have the opportunity to experience the work of renowned artist Van Gogh and truly immerse themselves in his world.

The experience breaks the norm of tiptoeing around an art gallery and instead boasts a symphony of light, colour, sound, and fragrance for the whole family to appreciate.

“To be part of the Van Gogh Alive installation gives our customers and all art lovers the chance to feel more and truly immerse themselves in a creative, inspiring experience,” says Sky’s chief creative officer, Steve Bayliss.

Ensuring safety, the experience allows for the artwork to be viewed from all angles, while remaining contact-free and naturally socially distanced. For many, the greatest pleasure will lie in simply standing still and indulging all the senses.

“Over 6 million people around the world have experienced this incredibly immersive experience, including sold-out seasons across Australia. We can’t wait to share the magic of Van Gogh with Kiwis in 2021,” says Live Nation NZ marketing director, Mark Kneebone.

The indoor experience will open in Wellington at TSB Arena on January 11, in Christchurch at the Airforce Museum of NZ on February 18, and then Auckland at Spark Arena on Wednesday 14th April.

Live Nation and Ticketmaster Presale Tickets will go on sale at 11 am on Monday 23rd November with general tickets going on sale on Wednesday 25th November at 11 am from Ticketmaster.
