Unbound partners with Cookiebot to help with online privacy

Waikato-based digital marketing agency Unbound has partnered with Cookiebot to help businesses comply with online privacy rules. The partnership makes Unbound the only certified reseller of Cookiebot in New Zealand.

Cookiebot’s Google-certified global platform for privacy protection and patented scanning and auto-blocking technology will help clients ensure they’re handling their website visitors’ data correctly, no matter where in the world they are.

Quentin Weber, owner and Director of Unbound, says the partnership was an important step in ensuring Unbound clients were ahead of the curve:

“Cookiebot is known for being the best at what they do, ensuring websites follow privacy laws everywhere. Many businesses in New Zealand aren’t yet up to speed with the law. With changes like the “Cookiepocalypse” and new rules from Google about consent, we wanted to be ready and keep our clients ahead.”

“A partnership with Cookiebot means managing data privacy is easy. For us, it’s about giving our clients the best tools to stay compliant and keep their digital ads running smoothly,” says Weber.

For Unbound’s clients, this means less headache about privacy laws and more focus on their marketing, he says; they won’t have to worry about ads being pulled for privacy issues and can build a better understanding of their audience.

“Businesses that aren’t looking into this now are going to find themselves behind the eight ball,” adds Weber.

Cookiebot offers a comprehensive solution for compliance with major data privacy laws across the globe, including the New Zealand Privacy Act (2020), GDPR/ePR, CCPA, and many more.
