Streetdog50 revs up with innovation and bold marketing moves

AUCKLAND, Today: FTN Motion is shifting gears in its marketing approach as it unveils the 3rd generation Streetdog50 electric motorbike. Designed in Hamilton, this urban commuter combines classic aesthetics with cutting-edge technology.

The Streetdog50’s launch campaign highlights its durability and customisation features, targeting urban commuters through digital channels and storytelling.

“The brief for the design team was to make the most durable electric two-wheeler on the market, and we’re delighted with the result,” says FTN Motion Founder Kendall Bristrow.

“The 3rd gen takes a big step forward in performance and build quality. We’re really pleased with these improvements and know Streetdog owners will love them,” he added.

To engage a wider audience, FTN Motion is leveraging social media and digital platforms, showcasing features like a new modular fairing system for easier customisation and servicing.

“We’ve introduced a modular fairing system to replace the original one-piece design. This change simplifies both servicing and personalisation, making it easier to maintain and customise the Streetdog,” Bristrow explains.

Handcrafted in New Zealand, the Streetdog50 is promoted with a focus on its local production story and FTN Motion’s new Hamilton headquarters, where the first customer-ready bikes have been built.

FTN Motion is also ramping up its efforts to export to Australia and launch the faster Streetdog80, which can reach speeds of up to 80 kph.

“We’ve prepared for continuous production and are actively expanding our reach. The Streetdog80’s pre-orders are on track to sell out in both New Zealand and Australia,” Bristrow said.

FTN Motion’s campaign highlights the Streetdog50’s innovation through bold marketing moves, including digital ads, pre-order campaigns, and a focus on its handcrafted local production story. The Streetdog50 is available now at FTN, with limited spots for summer delivery.
