NEW YORK, Today: The 2025 New York Festivals Advertising Awards are open for entries, and this year, Grey New York has partnered to launch a no-nonsense campaign called No BS Allowed. It challenges the ad industry to cut the superficiality and focus on impactful work.
The awards are renowned for recognising innovative advertising and are calling out the industry’s reliance on inflated metrics and empty buzz. The campaign cleverly turns these elements into something useful: fertiliser for growth.
Thiago Cruz, Chief Creative Officer at Grey New York, highlights the campaign’s ethos, “New York is famously known for not putting up with BS, so we’re ensuring our festival stands for that too. We’re looking for work that truly drives both cultural and business value for clients.”
The campaign features a mockumentary-style film titled “100% Bull***,” where real farmers discuss the unusual manure bags they received, humorously labeled with ad jargon like “Made-up Tweets.” This tongue-in-cheek approach extends to social media and print ads.
“This campaign is a reminder that our jury wants to rise above the noise of awards gamification and honour the true achievement.” – Scott Rose
At the festival’s close, the accumulated ‘BS’ will be donated as fertiliser to NYC Parks, symbolising the transformation of hollow industry results into something real and productive.
Scott Rose, President at New York Festivals, reinforces the message, “This campaign is a reminder that our jury wants to rise above the noise of awards gamification and honour the true achievement: the courage, creativity, and dedication it takes to bring powerful ideas to life, inspire action, and shape the future of our industry.”
Entries are now welcome from creatives, agencies, and brands around the world. For more information or to submit an entry, visit the New York Festivals Advertising Awards website.
