Dog food brand Black Hawk is shining a light on the lifesaving work carried out by LandSar specialist search and rescue dogs with their latest captivating campaign.
Set in the idyllic Treble Cone ski resort, the 30 second TV spot focuses on the companionship between man and dog. Fed by Black Hawk’s range, the LandSar dogs are heroes of their own kind and are always at peak physical health when called to action.
LandSAR is made up of over 80 members, with nine operational avalanche dogs and 12 wilderness doges. Avalanche dogs can impressively search one hectare in approximately 30 minutes, while it would take 20 foot-searchers four hours to search the same areas.
Donating their premium range of dog food to LandSAR for several years, Masterpet head of marketing Ruth Reid says the team at Black Hawk are delighted to celebrate these furry troopers with a memorable campaign.
“Black Hawk is a proud supporter of LandSAR, they carry out vitally important search and rescue missions, often in treacherous terrain,” says Reid.
“Ensuring the dogs are healthy and have access to great food is crucial for them to effectively do their work.”
Creative partner at The Works, Damian Pincus adds, “The relationship between a LandSAR dog and handler is built on trust and care for each other.
“As a team, they have to look after each other and we have captured this special relationship between Matt and Rocket using the dramatic and beautiful backdrop of Treble Cone.”
