AUCKLAND, Thursday: DDB Group Aotearoa ceo Justin Mowday writes: “It is with great sadness that DDB Group Aotearoa announces the sudden and tragic passing of Marcel de Ruiter, who has worked with the agency for more than 13 years.
“Marcel was a dedicated, kind, helpful and caring man,” Mowday says.
“He was exactly the sort of person you needed at the heart of a busy studio. Calm, efficient, nothing ever too much bother. His loss will be keenly felt by the entire agency both personally and professionally.
“Our thoughts and support go to his adored wife, Helena, and daughters Bianca and Annemieke.”
“We’ve been touched by the many clients, suppliers and former DDBers who had contacted the agency on learning about Marcel’s death last Wednesday (23 September). “Our thoughts and support go to his adored wife, Helena, and daughters Bianca and Annemieke.”
A service for 100 family and friends was held on the morning of Wednesday 30 September in Henderson.
DDB Group Aotearoa staff gathered together remotely to join the service.
