In a world where nearly everyone is always online, there is no offline.

Storytelling Shop

HAMILTON, Today: Waikato-based PR & communications specialist Angela March has gone from freelancer to managing director of her own agency, Brainchild.

March says the agency launched last week to reflect her growing team and client base. “The fresh branding for Brainchild encapsulates the agency’s creative and intelligent approach to storytelling,” she said.

“My team has expanded since I started freelancing almost two years ago and with that came a need to form an agency and refresh the brand,” she told M+AD.

She says it was important to find a vibrant identity that matched the agency’s style: “We don’t do cookie-cutter and we are always drawing on our experience to find innovative ways to get results for our clients. Our brand needed to be anything but boring.”

The face logo, which is also an upturned B for Brainchild, changes its expression to fit different situations.

March says the dynamic branding is fitting for an agency that offers a range of services across different industries: “We are versatile – adapting our style and strategy based on the story we are telling and who we are trying to connect with.

“The world is a noisy place, but great stories get heard.”

“Storytelling has become a buzzword, but great stories have always been at the centre of strong strategies and brands.

“Stories are the thread that links all of our work at Brainchild. Whether it’s an event, an influencer campaign or a media story, great narratives are how we connect brands with people.

“The world is a noisy place, but great stories get heard.”

Brainchild clients include realestate.co.nz, BePure, Chuffed Gifts, Larceny Jewellery, and newly launched charity broadband provider YelloHalo.

The agency’s services include communication strategy, media relations, copywriting, event management, influencer engagement, content creation, crisis communication, and brand identity development.

Keeping it local
The rebrand was managed by Area Design Hamilton.
