Specialist B2B communications agency Energise is starting off 2021 with a new senior level team appointment.
The Parnell-based agency has welcomed Melissa Semmens as Marketing Manager.
Semmens, who has extensive experience in both traditional and digital marketing, as well as a background in farming and agriculture, takes on the role after a 15-plus year marketing career in New Zealand. During that time, she was responsible for large international brands across the building, FMCG and media industries.
She will oversee the day-to-day management of Energise’s biggest client, Agvance Nutrition.
“We’re delighted to welcome Melissa and her wealth of marketing experience to the growing team here at Energise,” says Energise Brand Director, Rosina Webb.
“Melissa’s appointment will enable Energise to assist with the increased demands of the dairying and agricultural sectors which are calling for more support around their digital marketing. This year, we’ve seen strong growth in these sectors, despite the economic challenges presented by Covid-19.”
Semmens says: “I have always been fascinated by customer behaviour – why do people purchase the things they do and how can we influence this purchase behaviour? I especially enjoy the insights and research aspects of marketing, and everything I do as a marketer is driven by this consumer data.”
