Farrimond, the Auckland-based full service consumer behaviour agency, has announced the appointment of Kamran Kazalbash to Managing Director.
The appointment of Kazalbash to this newly created position comes after the acquisition of Farrimond in July 2020 by Attivo, the group that also owns Christchurch full service agency, Harvey Cameron.
“Kam’s pretty unique in our market as he has both senior client side and agency experience, meaning he understands the requirements of both parties. His time as Head of Marketing & Customer Experience at Foodstuffs New Zealand, for PAK’nSAVE and Four Square. coupled with his previous agency experience at FCB and .99, means we’ve got an experienced senior leader who really understands our client’s business,” says Cam Murchison CEO at Attivo.
“His experience of both brand and retail marketing will be invaluable to our client portfolio, and were looking forward to this expertise making an immediate positive impact for our clients.”
Kazalbash started his career in New Zealand at retail agency .99 before moving to head FCB New Zealand’s retail practice as General Manager- Retail, before joining Foodstuffs New Zealand as Head of Marketing.
During his seven years at FCB he led the PAK’nSAVE account and managed the infamous Stickman campaign, arguably one of New Zealand’s most enduring and successful marketing campaigns. Moving client side to Foodstuffs in 2019, Kazalbash saw the brand recognised for this, winning the coveted Grand EFFIE and the Sustained Success EFFIE for New Zealand’s most consistent brand. Stickman is now in his 13th year.
“Farrimond has an exceptional track record in understanding and changing consumer behaviour, building an impressive stable of some of New Zealand’s most well-known FMCG brands over the last 25 years. It’s an agile team of experts who are passionate, hardworking and genuinely nice people. And of course being full service means we can offer our clients an overall solution to their business problems, not just one part of it. I’m excited and really looking forward to meeting and working with the Farrimond clients,” says Kazalbash said of his appointment.
Kazalbash has started at the agency with immediate effect.
