Thanks to another new business win and continued client growth, Auckland agency Charm is in hiring mode – with the female-led indie announcing two new hires while on the lookout for another.
The agency has been able to add extra firepower to its leadership team, starting with Helen McGrath, who has joined as Client Services Director. It’s a key role for the agency as it rebuilds and looks to grow.
Charm founder Jo Tacon says: “Helen coming onboard is great news for Charm and for our clients.
“She brings 20 years of experience, gained in award-winning agencies on both sides of the Tasman and it’s a great endorsement for Carren and me as Helen actually sought us out for our female leadership. She’s excited about where we’re going with Charm and her skills and experience will bring a new level of service to our clients who really are the heart and soul of any successful agency. We couldn’t be more thrilled that Helen chose Charm and we plan on keeping her right here!”
The other new face at Charm is not exactly new – for the last couple of years, freelance copywriter Ben Chandler has been an unofficial member of the agency, partnering with Creative Head Duncan Wilson.
Wilson says: “We’ve got plenty of history. Ben and I have been a creative team on and off for years and it’s great to be working together again. Ben brings a ton of above and below the line smarts as a copywriter and CD and a ton of awards to add to the trophy cabinet.”
Now, Charm is on the hunt for a digital wizard to drive its growing online and mobile offering.
Wilson says: “We’re talking to a couple of people. We want someone who talks the talk and walks the walk. Whoever that turns out to be, they’re going to be in for an exciting ride.”
