Ryan Sproull to lead strategy team at YoungShand

AUCKLAND, Today: Ponsonby indie YoungShand Creative & Media has appointed Ryan Sproull as strategy & experience director.

MD Duncan Shand said: “After a year of growth, bucking the industry trend of 2020, the agency has appointed Ryan to lead its integrated strategy team, further bolstering its strategic offering.

“We’re excited to have Ryan on board, bringing his unique blend of brand and customer experience thinking to the team.

Coming from Shift and VML, he’s well suited to the integrated mix of creative, media and digital thinking the agency offers.”

Sproull joins Marie-Claire Mason, who joined the YoungShand team as a senior strategist last year. Together with the recent addition of Andrea Long to head of media, his appointment completes the agency’s integrated strategy offering.

“Ryan’s background adds an interesting edge to his strategic approach. After dropping out of high school, he went on to study comparative religion and philosophy at university.

“Following some early publishing experience, he eventually found himself drawn into digital strategy at Shift and TBWATequila.

He then returned to his roots, leaning on his early study to broaden his brand and marketing strategy skills at VML Sydney and VMLY&R Auckland,”
