AUCKLAND, Wednesday: Following a competitive pitch, Spark has appointed Anthem Auckland as its first exclusive, full-service public relations agency partner.
Previously, the agency used a number of PR partners for specific projects.
Spark corporate relations director Leela Gantman said: “Anthem’s blend of strategic counsel and creativity and its strong track record of building trusting relationships with its clients made them an ideal choice.
“We wanted a partner who can move seamlessly between corporate communications, B2B and mass-market campaigns, who can work at pace, who shares our values, and ultimately who we enjoy working with.”
“They launched the Spark Innovation Studio, NZ’s first purpose-built space to support businesses harnessing the power of emerging technology.”
Anthem MD/co-founder Carolyn Kerr said: “Our team is excited to build on its 2020 project work with Spark, including the launch of the popular Spark 5G Race Zone in the lead up to the America’s Cup and leveraging Spark’s 5G Starter Fund.
“As a locally-owned, independent business, it is special to learn that it’s the first time Spark has gone through this process to choose an integrated corporate and consumer PR agency to support its talented in-house team.
“We are excited to see what magic we make happen together when we combine our teams’ passion, capability, experience and creativity.”
The first project from the new partnership was the launch of the Spark Innovation Studio, New Zealand’s first purpose-built space to support Kiwi businesses harnessing the power of emerging technology.
