Siobhan (Partington) Burke has been appointed as CEO of Stanley St.
A clear choice for the role having been with the business for 25 years, Burke was most recently Head of Operations.
In addition to her extensive industry experience, Burke says she has learnt a tremendous amount from her brother, Stanley St founder Greg Partington.
“Greg and I have a strong working relationship and I have huge respect for what he has achieved throughout his career. We share an understanding of the importance of our clients, continuous learning, and staying ahead of the curve. Being an independent business, we’re well placed to respond quickly to changing market needs.
“It is exciting to step into the role of CEO and lead Stanley St during this time of change and transformation.”
The appointment as CEO combines Burke’s client service credentials, operations expertise and financial capabilities to lead Stanley St into a new phase of growth.
Partington remains involved with all businesses within the Stanley St Group at a strategic level.
Burke has been quick to build on the current strengths of the team, making two key appointments in the senior leadership team with Brad Collett as Executive Creative Director and James McHoull in the newly established position of Managing Partner.
Collett steps into the ECD role after six years as Creative Director at DDB NZ. Over his 17 years in the industry, he has worked with global and local brands such as BMW, Heineken, Westpac and New World, and has been recognised with multiple local and international awards. At Stanley St, he will be responsible for driving client campaigns that are creative, insightful, disruptive and effective.
Burke says Collett brings a passion for creative ideas that work for brands.
“I have no doubt that Brad will be instrumental in designing the creative department for the future by attracting new talent and delivering excellent work.”
Collett says: “I’m incredibly excited to join a locally owned agency that is delivering innovative solutions for its clients. They have a culture based on values and integrity that really resonates with me, and a talented leadership team building great momentum across a portfolio of iconic brands. Siobhan’s vision for the future is clear and I am looking forward to being part of this new phase of growth for Stanley St. I can’t wait to start.”
Collett starts on July 19.
McHoull is an accomplished advertising executive with over 13 years’ experience in the industry across Auckland and London. He has worked on many international accounts including The Coca-Cola Company, Lurpak, Honda, Tesco, UKTV, and Arla. In New Zealand, and has worked with clients including KFC, DB Breweries and Vodafone. As managing partner, he will work closely with Collett, leading the Stanley St team in producing exceptional work for their clients.
Burke says McHoull is a strong advocate for creatives having worked at creatively driven agencies like Wieden + Kennedy and Mother.
“Having worked in leading agencies both in New Zealand and the UK, James will bring this experience to enhance our offering.”
McHoull, who has commenced his role, says: “It’s great to be back in the New Zealand market and I’m looking forward to stepping into this new role, supporting the team to deliver their best work. I’m excited by Stanley St’s independence and their innovative approach to campaigns. I’m keen to build strong relationships with our clients by delivering effective creative as we support them through 2021 and beyond.”
