Maverick Digital has further strengthened its tourism know-how with the additions of Karen Foster and Ryan Wilmshurst.
In her new Account Manager role, Foster will help tourism operators navigate current challenges and work towards a sustainable, long-term recovery using digital.
Foster brings over a decade of tourism experience from Air New Zealand, THL and the New Zealand School of Tourism to the team, with a skillset spanning strategy and partnerships, customer service and training.
“I’m really excited to be able to support the recovery of tourism in such a hands-on way,” she says.
“Working directly with operators to make the most of every opportuniy and plan for a brighter 2022 – this is something that really speaks to me.”
Also joining the team is Wilmshurst, who adds to the teams’ storytelling and destination marketing capabilities.
Wilmshurst joins the agency as Marketing Specialist, a newly created position in the Agency’s Delivery team that encompasses campaign planning, content strategy and account management.
With experience as Tourism Campaign Manager and Tourism Trade Assistant for the Wellington NZ RTO as well as Campaign & Partnerships Manager for THL, Ryan adds immense tourism knowledge combined with a rich skillset in content and storytelling.
Maverick Digital Founder/CEO Alex Dykman says the additions of Karen and Ryan are an example of the agency’s “unwavering commitment to tourism”.
“The more tourism-specific experience and knowledge we have within the Maverick team, the greater impact we are able to have on our clients.
“Tourism is a highly unique industry facing a number of challenges, both now and into the future. I’m so pleased to be growing our team with more passionate, highly skilled tourism marketing experts to help supercharge recovery.”
