AUCKLAND, Today: Woman magazine will be curated by guest editors, after editor Sido Kitchin announced her resignation as group publisher of School Road Publishing.
Reflecting on her tenure, Kitchin said: “I’m hugely proud of the quality magazine brands we’ve launched in the past year – Woman, Thrive, Haven and Scout.
“Having a vision for these fresh titles and seeing them become a reality in print and online, and embraced by Kiwis, has been a wonderful experience. It’s been a joy to work alongside dozens of talented people who have put their hearts and souls into the magazines.
“For me, connecting New Zealanders through shared stories and experiences is a privilege, and I’ve worked hard to champion voices that need to be heard.
“Sido leaves behind a strong blueprint for the next chapter.”
“For my own personal reasons, it’s time for me to move on, but these magazines have an exciting future and they will always have a place in my heart.”
Kitchin will finish in a fortnight, on October 15, with her final issue of Woman out on October 25.
School Road’s Greg Partington said: “I want to thank Sido for her dedication, work and passion in bringing to life such unique magazines that have resonated with readers across the country.”
“Under her leadership Sido also leaves behind a strong blueprint for the next chapter.”
