Due to the uncertainty around alert-levels the Comms Council have made the decision to move 2021 Effie Aotearoa Awards in association with TVNZ to a virtual event for the second year in a row.
The awards will now be hosted via the Comms Council website on November 10th, 2021, at 5pm.
The Comms Council Executive Board and Effie Steering Committee are hoping still to connect as an industry and use the virtual event as an opportunity to appreciate all the hard work that has been accomplished in the past 18 months under even harder circumstances.
“Let’s celebrate the long term creative best practice, that we know builds brands and drives commercial success over time. Let’s resist the temptation to reward short-term, disposable creativity, that is designed to cause an immediate stir and then disappear without a trace. Let’s call out and celebrate all effective creativity, the kind of ideas and initiatives that pursue purposeful objectives and drive proven, quantifiable outcomes. Because Creative Effectiveness is everything. It’s the credibility on which marketing communications is built and reminds us that this is an industry that matters,” says the 2021 Effie Aotearoa Steering Committee.
The Effie Awards are made possible by commercial partner TVNZ.
Links to watch the show will be made available via the Comms Council website, and its social channels.
