HAMILTON, Wednesday: Motion Sickness client, Genesis-owned Energy Online – a one-stop shop for electricity, gas and LPG – is being rebranded to Frank*Energy “to reflect the new direction, offering and attitude it will bring to the market”.
Motion Sickness were appointed as Frank*Energy’s new creative agency in July and are responsible for the creation of the new brand platform.
General manager Shaun Rees said: “When Energy Online opened its doors almost 20 years ago, the aim was to make the complex world of energy simple. It delivered on that, but the market has become more crowded. Frank*Energy will focus on what many New Zealanders want – value and transparency.
“In true Kiwi style, Frank* is about being straight up. We’ve stripped away the fluff, guff and gimmicks.”
“Challenger retail brands have grown 40% over the last four years. It can be a confusing market for consumers who want to understand what they’re paying for and know that what they sign up for is what they will get.
“Frank*Energy’S customer care team, which is based in Hamilton, will deliver that with the best rate first time, whether you’re a new customer or have been with us a long time.
“In true Kiwi style, Frank* is about being straight up. We’ve stripped away the fluff, guff and gimmicks that get in the way of consumers understanding their energy plans, and knowing they have the best deal. We’re turning up the dial on transparency, fairness and value.
“While owned by Genesis, Energy Online operated autonomously. The same will apply to Frank*Energy.”
