MediaWorks has announced that Carly Flynn, Nickson Clark and Dave Letele are set to join Today FM in 2022.
Flynn will be Today FM’s newsreader during the Tova breakfast show. She has been working in TV and radio for more than 20 years and will join O’Brien and Mark Dye each weekday between 6:30am and 9am when Today FM launches this year.
Flynn says: “I’m really excited to set the alarm early and bring all the latest news to Kiwis along with Tova and Mark – it’s going to be fun!”
MediaWorks breakfast stalwart Nickson Clark, who’s currently hosting The Edge Breakfast, will join Today FM as its Friday night host.
He says: “Friday Night Nickson will be a talk show with a difference! I’m looking forward to wrapping up all the issues of the week in my own unique way.”
At the weekend, retired professional boxer, former gang member and founder of Brown Buttabean Motivation (BBM) Dave Letele will bring his unique motivational style to radio for the first time hosting a show on Sunday from 12pm-2pm.
He says: “I’m hugely passionate about helping people improve their health outcomes so having a platform to be able to share health, fitness and motivational tips is a true privilege.”
MediaWorks Director of News & Talk Dallas Gurney says Carly, Nickson and Dave are fantastic additions to Today FM’s lineup.
“Carly is an expert broadcaster and I’m looking forward to the fresh approach Nickson and Dave will offer Today FM. We’re getting close to the launch so stay tuned!”
Today FM is set to launch on FM frequencies throughout New Zealand, including on 90.2 FM in Auckland and 95.3 FM in Canterbury.
