AUCKLAND: TVNZ last month announced the appointment of Simon Power as its next chief executive, replacing Kevin Kenrick who has resigned after nine years at the helm.
Kenrick, who will depart in February, said he would take an extended break before making any decisions about future roles.
“Simon Power spent 12 years as a National MP.”
Power will join the state broadcaster in March, from Westpac NZ, where he has held multiple leadership positions over the last decade, including most recently as the bank’s interim ceo.
Prior to joining Westpac, Power worked as a barrister & solicitor and spent 12 years as a MP, holding ministerial portfolios for Commerce, Justice and State-Owned Enterprises.
