AUCKLAND, Wednesday: DDB Aotearoa NZ has promoted Nikki McKelvie to managing director. She replaces Chris Willingham, who left the ad sector in June last year to become CMO of Australian footwear & clothing maker R.M.Williams.
Previously managing partner at DDB, McKelvie joined the business 10 years ago.
DDB NZ ceo Priya Patel said: “Nikki played a key role in leading the management team, fostering a high performing culture within the agency.
“She is an asset to the business and brings the right mix of bold smarts, pragmatism and expertise.
“Here’s to 2022, and having some fun along the way.”
“No matter what you throw at Nikki, she takes it all in her stride – she’s passionate about our people and our product; and has been a driving force behind some of the agency’s best work.
Prior to joining DDB, McKelvie was client service director at Ogilvy, and held account service roles at Saatchi & Saatchi and M&C Saatchi.
She said: “It’s an exciting time for DDB and I feel incredibly honoured to be given this opportunity. We have a strong leadership team, clear direction, and amazing clients – here’s to 2022 and having some fun along the way.”
