AUCKLAND, Today: School Road Publishing has enlisted Lisa Hay as head of commercial. Hay was GM of Pumpt Agency, a boutique North Shore shop specialising in DM, flyer & catalogue design.
School Road head of content Susan Browne said: “This is such a win both for us and for our advertisers. Lisa has an innate understanding of what works for brands and for clients, based on over 28 years in the advertising industry with half of that time in magazine publishing.
“Lisa and I will be working together developing insight driven content solutions that work hard for advertisers and resonate with our audiences.
“Before Pumpt, she was 10 years as sales director at ACP/Bauer Magazines championing the advertising sales for some of the most iconic magazine mastheads.”
“While the printed heart of the magazines is still a driving force, it is the digital capabilities and expansions around the commercial opportunities for advertisers where it is going to be incredibly exciting.”
Hay said: “The opportunity to go back to where my career started in publishing with SRP was irresistible as it is bringing me home to my true passion.
“While the printed heart of the magazines is still a driving force, it is the digital capabilities and further expansions around the commercial opportunities for advertisers where it is going to be incredibly exciting.
“In 2022 we will provide new platforms for advertisers and readers to engage with our brands Woman, Haven and Thrive.
“I am thrilled to be a part of what is coming. This newly created role will encompass advertising sales, retail sales of the magazines, subscriptions and consumer marketing.”
